Local Radiance
Five Bits of Light
Local farmer's market haul: fennel, beets, strawberries. collards, carrots, swiss chard, flowers, green garlic and green onions, lettuce.
A mug from Persephone's Kitchen, the best cafe in the world. Our family can't all meet on Block Island, (where this cafe and its fabulous proprietor reside) as planned, but I can savor my coffee in this mug.
The amazing Jenn, who fed us locally sourced sustainable food at our wedding last year, is delivering! We'll be eating a few delicious meals this week that are still healthy, but prepared by someone else!
Using my homemade chicken stock to make Thai Chicken Soup tonight.
Painting the above flowers from the market while sitting outside. I'm finally not affected by the pollen.
While I am still hanging out in the shadows one moment too long, some days, it's been good to make a habit of looking for the light.
I hope you are feeling ok and are finding bright spots in your new routines.
Much love,
Madeline
